Welcome to Creative Moves, LLC and Home Truths

Welcome to Home Truths, a blog created for the Creative Moves community. When I help others move, I learn again and again that one of the hardest parts is going through possessions and memories that often reveal home truths. Home truths are “a key or basic truth, especially one that is discomforting to acknowledge.” This blog is an opportunity to welcome these revelations and consider the creative responses we can make to move forward with what can be an overwhelming task of moving into a new home life. Sometimes we need to face the fear of what we might discover, sometimes we’re surprised by joyous memories and new possibilities. Sometimes, it’s just facing all that stuff in the attic and picking up the first piece. In any case, it’s always easier to take on a senior move with compassionate, respectful, and effective help.
